Lens of Joy

I am taking Ali's class Lens of Joy, and I have to say that I am so in love with that class. 

At the beginning I wasn't sure if I was going to enroll it or not. I was a little afraid that it wasn't to be what I was expecting. 

But then, I thought, "It is Ali's class, of course it will be amazing!". So I gave it a try. 

I must say that it is beyond I was expecting. I am learning so much with it, and a lot of things that I was questioning myself, she has been answering it!

One thing that I love about Ali is that she is really genuine. She is not afraid of saying what is going on in her life (maybe she is, but she does it anyway). And her class is exactly like her. Simple, genuine and amazing.

It is my first time taking her class, but I am sure that I will continue to do so. 

The purpose of this post is to say that her class is worth it. And I trully recommend it. 

So next time, don't think so much, just enroll in her class. 

You will not regret it!!

Project Life 2015

I am thinking a lot what I will do for my project life next year. 

 It is time to decide some things. It is time to figure out what to do. 

I still don't know if I will use a 12x12 album or a 6x8 one. 

I really like the 6x8 ones, and I would love to give them a try, but I cannot compare this year with the next one. I don't really know what will happen. And the only thing that is holding me back to decide is space. 

I don't have a lot of space, and if for some reason the year gets busy, I am thinking about how many 6x8 albums I will need. 

So, I still have to decide that. 

But some other things I did decided, 

• I want to be simple! I love to put some embellishments on my pages, but in 2015 I want to keep it simple. 

• I want to focus on the stories. As much as I think that one picture can say a lot, I want to put some words to it. Often times my family look at my albums and don't really understant some pictures because it doesn't say much to them. 

• I will do it monthly. I think it is very nice to do it weekly, and I did it 2 years, but this time I want to put together the stories of the month, and be able to tell it differently. 

• I want to use more printable cards. I love the cards from One Little Bird, Paislee Press and Big City Quiet. 

• Since I am not doing weekly, I will not be using week cards, but I do want to use a nice calendar card for each month. 

• And I want to buy one core kit and stick with that as much as I can. 

So, as right now, this is what I am planning. 

Maybe I will think about something else...

Week in the life - Wednesday to Sunday

I know that it is a lot of pictures to put into just one post, and I will not do that.

From Wednesday till Sunday we had really busy days. The kind of days that either you forget to take pictures, or you just take pictures with your phone. 

But well, I don't care. 

I am just glad that I finished my week and I was able to complete this challenge.

It has been a really good week and a really good challenge to take all those pictures and to focus on the things that you don't normally pay attention. 

Now, I will go over all the pictures and decide which ones I will use.

How are you today?

How is your project going?

Tuesday was a busy day. 

When I say busy day, I mean, I didn't had a change to get my camera. 

I don't have a lots of pictures for this day, and all of them was taken by my phone.

time for the dogs

time to myself.

I am having fun trying to figure out new things to document. 

Having the same schedule every day is kind of dificult to document. 

But it is a really good. 

i am enjoying it a lot. 

Week in the life - Day 01

Hello guys,

Week in the life is kind of hard to do. 
If you are not intentional about it, you can miss a lot. 

These are my pictures of Monday. 

They are not edited, and I am not planning how I will create this album right now. 

I am focused on the pictures. 

I am not really happy about it.

But it was good to see what I need to change and what I can do better and how can I take better photos!!

Week in the Life - Day 0

I am joining Ali Edward this week for the "Week in the life"project.

As I said before, I ordered Ali's kit, but because I am here in Brazil, I didn't get it yet. Maybe by the end of this week... let's see.

Well, but this is not a problem. I will be taking pictures, writing and when the kit arrives, I will just put it all together. 

But there are some things that I prepared for this years project. 

I read Ali's post about how we are built with stories, and I totally agree with that. 

My goal this week is write. Write way more that I wrote in the previous years. This year I really want to document the small things. The things that makes my days as it is. 

We live in seasons, and something that I used to do last year, it is not in my routine anymore. I like to document that small changes.

That is why I think that this project is amazing. 

This week I want to include the same pictures every day, like: 

- breakfast

- clothes

- weather

- coffee

- and maybe some other things that I will discover in the middle of the way.

I want to keep it simple!

Simple is best!!

A week in the Life

Are you guys excited to start "A week in the life" by Ali Edwards?? 

I know I am! 

Really, I am really excited! 

It is not my first time doing it, but it will my first time doing it intentionally!

I will explain:

In the past years, I just took pictures and create my album! This year I want to write more! I want to use more words to document it! 

And this year I ordered Ali's kit! 

It is not here yet and I hope that it will arrive in time!! Fingers crossed!!

I am preparing some things before the week starts and the kit arrives, but I will post it by the end of the week!!
